After many requests, I have decided to start adding a collection of recipes to share with you all. I hope you like them! Give them a try and let me know what you think. First up is….
Chia Breakfast Bowl with Berries (serves 1)
The mighty Chia breakfast bowl is the ultimate grab ‘n’ go breakfast and could not be easier to make. This feels very much like a sweet treat so you could even eat it as a pudding. Chia seeds pack a mighty protein punch and were favoured by the Aztecs. The almond milk will add a good dose of healthy fats (it also has the benefit of making the chia seeds less ‘slimy’ in texture!)
3 tblsp Chia Seeds
120ml almond milk
1 serving protein powder
Place all ingredients in a sealed container. Give it a shake and leave overnight in the fridge. Simple!
In the morning, top with some fresh berries and a tblsp of chopped nuts. You could even add a tablespoon of home made granola.
For a few alternative flavours you can also add a tblsp of coconut flakes, hemp seeds, goji berries, cacoa nibs or cinnamon.
